About Mulberry Silk Company

We started Mulberry Silk Company for a simple reason. Buying silk online is harder than it should be. Search for a silk pillowcase and half the results are polyester satin with the word silk in the title. The real ones rarely tell you how heavy the fabric is, whether both sides are silk, or what size the case is in centimetres. We wanted a shop where those answers are on the page.

What we check before we list something

We read the maker's own description of every product before it goes on the site. If the maker says it is mulberry silk and states the weight, we list it. If the fine print turns out to say modal, polyester or silk on one side only, we either say so plainly or leave it out. A good number of products with silk in the name did not make the range for that reason.

We sell five kinds of silk product: pillowcases, sleep masks, scrunchies and hair ties, bonnets and sleep caps, and scarves. Each product page states the silk content, the momme weight where the maker gives it, the size and the care instructions, so you can compare like with like.

A tight range, chosen carefully

We do not list hundreds of near-identical products. We pick a small number in each category and cover the choices people actually make: 19, 22 or 25 momme, standard, queen or king, zip or envelope, one case or a pair. We also make no health claims. Silk is a smooth, comfortable fabric, and that is all we say about it. If a detail you need is not on the page, ask us before you order and we will check it.

How we ship

Orders ship with a tracked courier, and delivery is free on orders of R1800 or more (a flat R250 applies under R1800). Including handling, most orders arrive within 10 to 20 working days of the order date, a little longer to regional areas.

Delivery

Delivery within South Africa is free on orders of R1800 or more. Below that there is a flat R250 charge, shown in your cart before you pay. Orders are dispatched within 1 working day, then delivered within 19 working days by tracked courier. You can pay by card through Stripe. Our shipping page has the full detail.

If something is not right

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act apply to everything we sell. If an item turns up faulty, or it is not what the page described, email us and we will put it right. Our refunds and returns page explains how that works.

Who is behind Mulberry Silk Company

Mulberry Silk Company is part of a family-owned group of online stores. Our CEO, Renoo Caruso, is a Christian preacher based in Phetchaburi, Thailand. Renoo leads a local church with a congregation of more than 200 people and shares daily Bible teaching in Thai through renoo.faith and a YouTube channel with over 1,600 videos.

That faith shapes how we trade. Clear prices, honest product details, and a real person answering your email. We would rather lose a sale than mislead a customer.
